Privacy notice
Last updated October 2026. This notice explains what personal information VOLVM collects through this website and by email, why, and what your rights are.
Who we are
VOLVM Ltd is an architecture and interiors studio led by Tom Phillips ARB, registered in England and Wales. We are the controller of the personal information described here. You can contact us about it at hello@volvm.co.uk.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through our form or by email, we collect what you choose to tell us: your name, email address, where your project is, what you are planning, a rough budget and any other details you add. If we go on to work together, we also keep the contact and project information needed to deliver the work.
This website does not use cookies for tracking or advertising, and it does not set any cookies of its own.
How we use it
We use your information to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and, if you appoint us, carry out your project. Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing that contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. We will not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the website and our email:
- Web3Forms, which delivers enquiry form submissions to our inbox.
- Google Workspace, which provides our email and stores our correspondence.
- Cloudflare, which hosts the website and keeps standard technical logs to keep it secure.
- Google Fonts, which supplies the typeface on this site. Your browser connects to Google to load it, which shares your IP address with Google.
If we work together, we may share project information with consultants such as engineers or surveyors, and with planning and building control authorities, as your project needs.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations or other legal safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
If an enquiry does not lead to a project, we delete it within 12 months. If we work together, we keep project records for as long as the law requires, usually six years after the project finishes.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, object to how we use it or send it to you in a portable format. Email hello@volvm.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
